Description
The Mango Wood Pedestal Bowl lifts whatever you put in it - a pile of lemons, a few pine cones in winter, or simply nothing at all. Turned from a single piece of mango wood, it has a smooth, rounded bowl on a short footed base, so it stands a little taller than a standard bowl and makes a natural centrepiece for a dining table, kitchen island or sideboard.
Mango wood has a warm honey-brown colour and a lively grain, and no two bowls share the same pattern. Ours is sanded smooth and finished with a natural oil and wax, which brings out the grain and gives a soft sheen. Use it for whole fruit and dry items; it is not designed for liquids, salads or the dishwasher.

Care: wipe clean with a soft damp cloth and dry straight away. Do not soak, put in the dishwasher or leave in direct sunlight or next to a radiator. Every few months, rub in a little food-safe wood oil to keep the wood nourished.

Care & Safety
Candles: trim the wick to 5 mm before every lighting, let the first burn reach the edge of the vessel (around 2 hours), burn for no longer than 3 hours at a time and stop when about 1 cm of wax remains. Never leave a burning candle unattended; keep it on a heat-resistant surface, away from children, pets, draughts and anything that can catch fire. Reed diffusers: keep out of reach of children and pets, avoid contact with skin and polished surfaces. Ceramics: wipe with a soft damp cloth or hand wash - not dishwasher safe. Travertine: avoid acidic cleaners. Mango wood: wipe and dry, oil occasionally. Full safety information is on the label underneath every candle and diffuser.
