Amber & Fig Soy Candle - Amber Glass, 220 g

The Amber & Fig Soy Candle is our everyday favourite: a warm, rounded scent in a jar that looks as good on a kitchen shelf as it does on a bedside table. Green fig leaf opens the fragrance, softened by a heart of creamy fig and cedar, then settles into a base of soft amber and a hint of vanilla. It is a cosy, gently sweet scent that suits autumn evenings but never feels heavy.

Each candle is made with soy wax with a single cotton wick, then set in a smooth amber glass tumbler. The light oak lid keeps dust out between uses and doubles as a coaster for the jar. Once the candle is finished, the glass makes a handsome pot for pens, make-up brushes or cuttings.

Care: on the first burn, let the wax melt right to the edge of the vessel (around 2 hours) so it burns evenly afterwards. Keep the wick centred and remove any trimmings or matches from the wax pool. Once the candle is finished, scoop out the remaining wax with a spoon, wash the vessel in warm soapy water and reuse it.

Burn safely: never leave a burning candle unattended. Burn it within sight, out of reach of children and pets, and away from draughts, curtains, shelves and anything else that can catch fire. Place it on a stable, heat-resistant surface - the vessel becomes hot while burning. Trim the wick to 5 mm before every lighting, burn for no longer than 3 hours at a time and stop when about 1 cm of wax remains. Do not move a candle while it is lit or the wax is liquid.
